Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at the Gamble House on Saturday, April 25

Join us for a nationwide celebration of independent bookstores—happening both in-store and online—right here at the Gamble House Bookstore.

This year, we’re also honoring Earth Day with special guests from TreePeople, who will be on-site sharing their work and connecting with visitors.

11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Meet local author Kate McMillan, who will present and sign her book Sustainable Structures: 15 Eco-Conscious Buildings from Around the World. Young visitors (ages 8–12) are invited to get creative and build their own structures using sustainable materials.

2:00 p.m. – Join our book club, Dust Jacket Journeys, for a discussion of Red Flag Warning: Mutual Aid and Survival in Fire Country.

Throughout the day, explore Independent Bookstore Day exclusives—available in-store and online while supplies last. In-person shoppers receive priority access.
