GOAT YOGA AT THE GAMBLE HOUSE

Enjoy communing with friendly, gentle goats while engaging in a fun, light-hearted yoga session taught by certified instructor Tina Lenert on the rear lawn of The Gamble House. Connect with your “inner kid” while moving through yoga postures suitable for all levels; from first timers who ”just came for the goats” to experienced yogis looking to challenge their practice. Hello Critter’s Nigerian Dwarf kids are known for opening hearts, widening smiles, deepening stretches & strengthening cores while weaving throughout class, interacting with each participant. Attendees will be delighted by the antics of joyful goats nimbly jumping on, rebounding off, trotting under & crawling through the playground of participants. Bring your love for animals, love of architecture, camera and sense of humor!
Goat yoga session time = 1 hour consisting of 15 minutes petting and pictures before and after class, 30 minute goat yoga class.
Bring a yoga mat and / or full sized towel. For participants who prefer not to have their yoga mats “autographed” by goats, we rent used-sanitized yoga mats for $5 each, however, participants may just want to bring full size towels which work fine too.
Events are rain or shine.
IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Face masks are optional for exterior activities. Interior masking is strongly encouraged.
• Participants must weigh at least 75 lbs.
• Please wear a shirt that protects your back from goat hooves.
• Remove loose jewelry before participating.
GOATS WILL BE GOATS
• Goats can leave their “blessings” anywhere at anytime…LUCKILY they are vegan so their dry, coffee bean-like droppings are virtually scent free & biodegradable.
• Goats have no boundaries! Please clear away anything you’d rather not have climbed on, nibbled on or blessed by goats!
• We love dogs! But their presence can be stressful to our goats, so we ask you please not bring dogs to the session.

MUSEUMS OF THE ARROYO DAY (MOTA)

The Gamble House is excited to take part once again in MUSEUMS OF THE ARROYO DAY on Sunday, May 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., along with 4 other museums located along the Arroyo Seco. 2024 marks 34 years of free access to exhibitions and program in this collaborative effort to increase engagement and make art and culture accessible to all.
The first floor of the Gamble House will be open for self-guided walk-through with docents on hand to share their knowledge of the house. We’ll have lots of activities for kids and adults so bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn, play lawn games, and try your hand at creating art at our crafts table. Members of the Pasadena Society of Artists will be creating art and engaging with guests so come join the fun. Kona Ice will be serving up delicious treats throughout the day with 20% of proceeds being donated to the Gamble House.

Nothing sets the tone for the weekend like relaxing on the Gamble House lawn! Explore the first floor of the Gamble House with docents available to answer questions in each room. Savor wine flights poured by Highland Park Wine, bring a blanket and pack a picnic to enjoy while listening to live music. Don’t feel like packing a picnic? Triple Beam Pizza will be firing up their mobile oven and offering slices for purchase with 10% of all sales benefitting the Gamble House.
Children welcome. No outside alcohol allowed. No pets allowed. Wine tasters must show ID at check-in.
Free public parking is available on Westmoreland Place and along Orange Grove Blvd.
