Charles visits the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, at the request of client Adeliaide A. Tichenor, who writes, “I do not want you to go on with my home until you see [the fair]…you will be able to get so many ideas of woods and other things for finishing what you now have on.” After visiting the exposition, Charles clips these pictures of the Japanese and German pavilions from Cosmopolitan and placed them in his scrapbook.
