at The Gamble House and Pasadena Museum of History

The Gamble House and Pasadena Museum of History welcome all ages for a free day of architecture, art, and exploration. Picnics at both sites are welcome.
At The Gamble House:
- Enjoy self-guided tours (no reservations required) of the first and second floors of the Gamble House.
- Enjoy the kinesthetic pinwheel art installation by Jerolyn Crute Sackman and assemble your own pinwheel.
- Create a scenic interpretation of your Gamble House visit with a variety of papers, cards, and images (materials provided) with Gloria Newton from Remainders Creative Reuse.
- Gather under the big oak tree for Pasadena Conservatory of Music’s Musical Storytime—a family-friendly mix of music and storytelling with interactive activities and performances by PCM students.
- Spot our feathered friends! Join the Pasadena Audubon Society in the Hummingbird Cantina for hands-on tools like binoculars and bird ID wheels.
At Pasadena Museum of History:
- Explore the exhibitions Stories, Traditions & Designs: Spotlighting the African American Quilters of Los Angeles and Cha-Rei Tang: 48 Years of Making Art in Pasadena.
- Come inside the 1906 Fényes Mansion and Finnish Folk Art Museum for Mini Self-Guided Tours (no reservations required).
- Craft your own memories into a one-of-a-kind keepsake in Art 2 Go’s ceramic tile workshop, suitable for all ages and abilities. Artistic inspiration and Arts & Crafts vibes are just steps away in our galleries, gardens, and the Fènyes Mansion.
