Mr. Jessie H. Payne House Carmel-by-the-Sea, California 1925 Charles Greene designed an L-shaped concrete residence for Carmel postmaster Payne. Payne purchased the plans and had the construction supervised by contractor M.J. Murphy who later took credit for the design.
